I was born in in Geneva, Switzerland.
My father was a scholar at the University of Geneva, working on his thesis under the guidance of the notable Jean Piaget, who is often considered one of the fathers of child psychology.
Although my father was offered a position at the prestigious Piaget Institute, he chose instead to accept a position at the child psychology department of the University of Montreal, where he became the director of the Orthopedagogy Department.
