Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes^[a] (;^[2] born 22 December 1962) is an English actor, film producer, and director.

Widely regarded as one of Britain's most well-known and popular actors, he has received various accolades, including a BAFTA Award and a Tony Award, as well as nominations for three Academy Awards, an Emmy Award, and seven Golden Globes.

He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1985. A Shakespeare interpreter, Fiennes excelled onstage at the Royal National Theatre before having further success at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
